inklings

it's been many a winks since i've last posted anything..

and due to the constant mental drain that's perpetually boggling me (yes, it's the thesis), i have very little mood left to blog my thinkings about stuff lately. If i do, it might be something really architectural.

and i'm not all too convinced i should do just that.

However, some inklings of architecture on this blog previously has led me in contact with Tony, who runs a backpackers' inn named Betelbox in Joo Chiat.. & that has in turn gotten me more in the know about the social issues and the real problems that the area is facing now..

In case i've failed to mention, my thesis revolves around Joo Chiat. What is it about? What are some problems? Is anything being done? We should first see what the residents have to say then..

A short writeup of my initial reactions and proposal was posted onto the webpage, which is a community project initiated by the Save Joo Chiat workgroup. The energies of these residents have truely amazed me.
