Bed + Cummings = Porn

With the impending move to a smaller place, I'm looking to selling off stuff in the house that will be redundant.

That means I posted a listing for the spare guestroom bed, complete with mattress and wood slatts onto Criagslist. Within minutes I got replies via email, enquires about the bed per se.

One email particularly stood out.

The sender was Mark. Mark Cummings. cummings4u@something.com
(for his privacy I've changed the domain name)


the phone conversation that ensured went something like this:

"Hey Jeff. I called earlier regarding the bed"

"Yes, Mark right?" (I didnt feel like adding 'cummings' after Mark)

"yea, I was wondering about the bed.. and if you would like to sell it to me cheaper,.. way dirt cheap"

"I could consider, but what's the price you're willing to pay?"

"I'm thinking 40. Truth is, I want the bed for later today, I'll use it and I'll dump it out after tonight so I really want something dirt cheap"

"I see.. how bout if I don't get a better offer then I'll get back to you"


and the rest of the conversation doesn't really matter anymore...

apparently, the economic recession hasn't hit rock-bottom yet, least not for the porn industry...
